Churchill Downs Acquires Ellis Park Racetrack

Churchill Downs Incorporated, known as CDI, has acquired Ellis Park Racetrack and Gaming Facility in Kentucky for a sum of $79 million. The transaction was given the green light by the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission and includes the potential to construct a brand-new track extension facility in Owensboro. CDI intends to pour $75 million into the region over the course of the next twelve months.
