Esports Entertainment Group, a company that operates in the world of esports betting, has brought on Jeff Cohen as their new Vice President of Strategic Planning and Investor Relations.
Cohen comes to the company from Stephens Inc., a financial institution that deals with investments and managing assets on Wall Street. At Stephens, he was an equity analyst focused on the gaming and esports industries.
Before joining Stephens in 2017, Cohen worked as an analyst in the equity special situations group at Barclays.
“I’m thrilled to become part of the Esports Entertainment team and I’m eager to seize the many opportunities to create value for the company within the rapidly expanding global esports market,” Cohen expressed.
Grant Johnson, the CEO of Esports Entertainment, added: “Jeff has been a prominent analyst in the gaming and esports sector, and his extensive knowledge and connections with key investors will be a significant advantage as we continue to implement our growth strategy.”
This appointment follows the company’s announcement earlier this month that they will finalize their acquisition of Argyll Entertainment, an online betting and gaming operator, by the end of July. This comes after a definitive agreement was reached to acquire the company.
In this current month, the esports entertainment firm joined forces with Akur Capital, an independent financial markets consultant, to aid them in locating additional enterprises for potential mergers or acquisitions.
