A fresh report from Pi Datametrics reveals that sports wagering partner Oddshark holds the largest share of voice in Google US searches for every specific wagering term, structure, and wagering-related category.

Oddshark’s 7.70% share of voice places it at the pinnacle of Pi Datametrics’ rankings, followed by partner and news website PlayUSA with 6.94%. Completing the top ten are media portals CBS Sports and ESPN, while the official website of the National Football League (NFL) occupies the tenth position.

Online encyclopedia Wikipedia ranks sixth with a 3.36% share of voice, clearly indicating that bettors are seeking to gain a deeper understanding of wagering.

Before May 2018, there was minimal new market expansion activity during the time frame covered by the report, resulting in a scarcity of genuine online gambling websites on the rankings. Only Bovada.lv, a website operating without authorization, secured a spot in the top twenty.

Regarding category search volume, the majority of inquiries were linked to American football, comprising nearly two-thirds of searches from December 2017 to November 2018. Nevertheless, Pi Datametrics indicates that search volume for the sport is diminishing, experiencing a 12% decrease from August 2016 to 2018. Search volume for American football typically reaches its zenith in September, coinciding with the commencement of the NFL season.

Concurrently, horse racing search volume usually peaks around May, roughly when the Kentucky Derby takes place, while basketball search volume escalates starting in March annually, when the National Basketball Association (NBA) conducts its annual draft.
